We LOVE this sweater and also own the vest in the same style. We received the wrong size upon delivery. The company has been good to work with. We are especially glad the company employs women in Nepal to make these sweaters and others they sell.

Not Quite The Quality of Laundromat

I'm the happy owner of a Laundromat sweater (Laundromat was acquired by Lost Horizons) and decided this year I would replace as it is showing wear on the shoulders, cuffs and fleece lining inside (I will now find a tailor and have it mended for continued use). I was excited to discover Lost Horizons and the ability to purchase a similar sweater. The differences between my current Laundromat sweater and new Lost Horizons are slight and may not be a concern for others. The fleece lining does not exist in the arms, only the torso. When I wore this sweater outside for the first time in Colorado during a winter morning the wind blew right through the arms onto my bare skin. I did not enjoy this and the satin/nylon material that is used to line the arms is not providing weather protection or warmth. My Laundromat sweater is fleece lined throughout the entire garment. My other observation is the nylon tag within the Lost Horizons sweater. When compared to the leather or possibly faux leather tag in my Laundromat sweater it just looks cheap. I will personally keep my eye out for other sweater manufacturers when the time comes to replace my Laundromat and Lost Horizons sweaters. The lack of fleeced arms is that important to me.

Dear Stephan, thank you for your review. You are correct, we no longer have a completely full lining in our sweaters. A few years back, laundromat (before the merger with Lost Horizons) decided to change the lining in the sleeve for a slicker fabric, something easier to put on and take off. This decision was based on the demands of our customers, not for cost saving purposes! It is hard for us as company to please everyone when it comes to this issue. It seems like we have customers that are very opiniated for fleece lining in the sleeves and also against it. One thing is for sure, we will make sure to edit our description to clearly state the type of lining in the sleeves of our sweaters. And also, we will make sure to offer a couple styles that will offer a fully fleece lining in the future. Finally, the change in the neck label was not to save money but to simplify our process, the faux leather patches were the only part of our sweaters that were not made in Nepal, these were imported from China and so we decided to keep the production 100% local to Kathmandu, that is why we made the change of labels.
Thank you.
