The Dakotah makes a statement with eye-catching kangaroo pockets in a contrasting palette of patterns. Fair Isle knit with overstitch detailing repeated across the shoulders and cuffs gives this design balance, while the chevron strip on the cuffs and waistband and emblems on the sleeves add extra interest. Lightweight and cotton lined for comfort, the Dakotah also features a hood and full-zip front.

Thousands of happy customers since 1993!
Amazing fit and had lots of complements when I wear it. The story on how they are made also touches me.
I have found the Dakotah sweater to be not only a fashionable but also a functional piece of clothing. The beautifully knitted wool provides an incredible level of warmth, while the soft cotton lining ensures perfect comfort to even those who find wool to be too itchy or scratchy to their skin. (I have always had a problem with wearing wool and, in fact, until this product have been unable to tolerate any wool item up against my skin.) The staff at Lost Horizons, particularly Nancy and Francis, proved to be an invaluable resource to me. Their kindness and personal attention to my situation has restored my faith in humanity! Thank you, Nancy and Francis, and thank you Lost Horizons for providing such amazing products. I would recommend these products to any and everyone, and I encourage all to include a tip for the artists and weavers!
This denim Dakota Sweater is the most beautiful yet practical, well-made, flattering sweater I have ever purchased.
This sweater is well made and beautiful. I’m completely in love with it. It’s kept me warm in 20 degree winds that nearly knocked me off my horse but somehow it’s not too heavy to wear on milder 40 degree days. Perfect for the crazy western Maryland weather where we sometimes get all 4 seasons in a single day. It’s the most comfortable sweater and it’s appropriate for everywhere. It’s my go-to for the barn, work, a leisurely stroll, or a night out. It’s really the perfect jacket, there’s no need to have more than one, but I certainly intend to get more anyway!
